Passive safety features include front airbags, front-side airbags and side curtain airbags, as well as the Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body, which is designed to enhance occupant protection while mitigating damage to other vehicles.

Active safety features include standard Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA). VSA enhances handling stability and predictability especially in poor traction conditions to help drivers maintain control during understeer and oversteer situations.
